Hello.
Today I have finalised my final major project idea. I am going with the genre of experimental film, as suggested by the people that I have talked to about my project and with the advice of my peers.
I was inspired by my personal view of the medical industry and how doctors prescribe medicines habitually without fully assessing their patients. They usually give quick fixes for problems or idealisations that could be fixed with simpler, non-medicated solutions like diet changes. CBT/DBT,
herbal remedies (st john's wart, lavender) or environmental exposure (non-reclusive behaviour, etc)
My story will be about an unregistered doctor who meets his patients in alleyways at night, in a dark, quiet atmosphere. The reason the location is so specific is because if he's an unregistered doctor, his role is somewhat similar to a drug dealer as he provides non-pharmaceutical items to relieve his client's pain or mood (just like cannabis, codeine.) The doctor's character will be visually presented as a fox, as foxes are symbolic to being sneaky, non-approachable creatures.

The clientele of the fox will be humans but they will all be representative of different damaging traits. For example, one of my characters could be a man comes to the fox because he is very angry with everybody around him and gets irritable for no apparent reason. The fox could give him a broken piece of glass (the meaning being to reflect from his actions.)
My film will be called Magic Bullet.
The reasoning for the title is that people always think the easiest solution is prescription or over-the-counter drugs for their illness or temporary sickness. There is no easy way out or "quick fix" when it comes to health and this generation is too comfortable with being instantly gratified when they need to fix their problems.
Target Audience
My target audience is adults (18+) and politically/environmentally unconscious minds as the point of my film is to educate those who don't have knowledge of what pharmaceutical medicines do to their bodies.

According to the social demographic structure for any commercial media product. my target audience would most likely fall under the social grade of D/E as it isn't aimed to please persons of a select caliber, but merely anybody who is interested in societal issues. I could also recognise that my film falls under all bands (a-e) so nobody is excluded due to the fact that my film is suited to any adult as we will all likely self-medicate in our lifetime.
