My Stop Motion Idea / Planning and Storyboard // Secondary Research

Hello.

I have thought up the content that will be in my stop motion.

I bought a grapefruit, two bananas, some flour and a apple. The banana will be suggestive of the male genitalia and the grapefruit will be suggestive of the female anatomy. The apple will be a representation of sex, because apples are known as the forbidden fruit. I will carve a heart inside of the apple to symbolise the fact that though sex is a taboo issue, people are going to carve into the forbidden even if it's looked down upon, so it's better to be ready (for the act of sex) then not.

Also, I have decided to use narration due to the fact that people in my survey wanted to hear a voiceover.

I was inspired by three different videos while coming up for the idea for my safe sex advert.

The first video inspired me to use fruit as a metaphor for sex due to all of the obvious innuendos included in the video. I also liked how obvious the sexual connotations are to follow.

The second video is a advertisement that I stumbled upon while watching late night television and isactually the inspiration for safe sex advert. The advertisement is targeting young adults as it plays after adult rated shows such as family guy, american dad, celebrity juice, sexcetera, etc. I liked the suggestive imagery that complimented the voiceover and really draws you to pay attention to what's on screen.

The third advert is a stop motion about fruit and the way they use the fruit to imitate objects gave me the inspiration to use fruit as certain shapes replicate the human form perfectly without being too grotesque.
