Editing my promotional film

Hello.
Today I edited my film. Because we had to spend another day filming, we had to edit our footage in one day. Next time I do a project, I need to remember that time is everything in editing, as you don't want the film to appear rushed or unprofessional.
Before starting editing, I asked for some advice on how I should go about the process. Our lecturer emma showed us how to use the fast colour corrector and how to reduce the noise on our visuals. In all honesty, the only noise in my clips were on a scene where I shot on a escalator, so that movement couldn't be helped by editing anyway. I decided to colour correct my film using the Fast Colour Corrector fx and Three-way Colour Corrector (which wasn't as easy to use)
The effects I used are in the slideshow below.
With the fast colour corrector, you had to significantly reduce the saturation and change the dial to the hue that suits the colour of your video. I didn't have to brighten any scenes as I set the ISO settings on my camera beforehand.
However, I did play with the filters and effects. I used the SL Retro Brown (Universal) effect to make my film look more clean cut and retro at the beginning and then used natural lighting and colour corrected the rest of the footage.
Editing the video, I wanted natural looking transitions because in my opinion effects with spirals and slides look very basic and make it blatantly obvious that you're an amateur in editing. I didn't want to highlight this in my work so I used my favourite fade-to-black fx when the cuts were slightly choppy.
For sound, I used "Bob Marley - Jammin" as our video was based in a caribbean-african town and this song vibes with the visuals. I also cut it so the music flows with the images on screen because it makes the video aesthetically pleasing and easy on the eyes.
In conclusion, I think my editing went well, except for the fact that I had trouble raising the audio of the interviewee at the end. I think this happened because I ran out of time and college was closing so I didn't have time to change my mistake.
The sound editing task when we did foley sound really helped me when I was editing this promotional film. I didn't know how to sync foley sound before but now I could do it effortlessly without aid from my peers. I also knew how to cut a soundtrack and lower the sound when a narrator was speaking. Colour correction wasn't new to me but I discovered Fast Colour Corrector and I know I will use it a lot in my future works.
